Dramatically shortened and straightened, the new hole has retained its par but lost its teeth. Drivable for most, with a new pot bunker before the green it is now the easiest hole on the golf course. The internal OOB is no more, however there is a water hazard / OOB to the right.

The only par 5 on the course, this hole is reachable in two outside the winter months. Your drive needs to be played down the right hand side as the fairway cambers right to left. From here your second needs to be played down the left to avoid pitching over the bunker from a bare…

The 9th hole at Northcote finishes with a shortish, straight - forward par 4 with a generous fairway and elevated green. With the easier finish golfers can now strive for the "Renton" and finish "Birdie-Birdie-Birdie".
